However, he underscored that participants will need an official invitation from the Ministry of State Secretariat to attend the ceremony.
Pratikno explained that the requirement has been put in place due to the limited space at the event's venue and limited availability of public transport, such as airplanes, that can directly take participants to the future capital.
He added that hotels in Nusantara are not yet ready to accommodate a large number of guests.

The Ministry of State Secretariat, he said, will prioritize inviting people residing around North Penajam Paser district, where parts of Nusantara are being developed, to the Independence Day ceremony.
"This is because local people will not need transportation support, such as airplanes," he explained.
Earlier, head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, informed that the invitees will be limited to one thousand for the flag-hoisting ceremony in the morning, one thousand for the flag-lowering in the afternoon, and 380 for the event in the main hall.
He said that the government has prepared a place in the National Axis area to accommodate 1,500 invitees.
"We will erect tents for local residents wishing to observe the ceremony," he informed in Jakarta on August 1.
A similar ceremony will be chaired by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin on the same day in Jakarta.
