"Yes, it is possible," he stated in Sidoarjo, East Java, on Friday.
He confirmed that Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini, who is running for the East Java governor's seat, has submitted her resignation, and the decision regarding her successor has been signed.
However, he did not reveal the name of the figure who would replace Rismaharini.
"I have signed the decree of her resignation, but her replacement will be announced later," he remarked.
Earlier in the day, the coordinator of the president's advisors, Ari Dwipayana, stated that the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, will serve as the acting minister, replacing Rismaharini.
Jokowi added that he has not signed the resignation decree for Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, who is contesting in the Jakarta Governor Election.
"I have not signed that," he remarked.
On August 19, Jokowi inaugurated Bahlil Lahadalia as the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), replacing Arifin Tasrif.
On the same occasion, Jokowi also inaugurated several state officials: Supratman Andi Agtas as the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Rosan Roeslani as Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and Angga Raka Prabowo as Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics.
