Acting Governor of Banten, Al Muktabar, stated that the Banten provincial government had received three fiscal incentives for handling extreme poverty, tackling stunting, and improving financial management.
"Some of (the incentives) we use to directly benefit the community, especially in strengthening the food supplies," he remarked here on Thursday.
He noted that the extreme poverty rate in Banten Province is close to zero. He ensured that the fiscal incentive handed over by the central government would be used in extreme poverty eradication programs.
"Hopefully, this can mirror all of our efforts for the community's welfare," he stated.
According to the acting governor, every effort to reduce the extreme poverty rate to zero has been carried out along with district heads and mayors in the province.

He also lauded those who have put their dedication into the extreme poverty elimination programs.
The Banten provincial government, Tangerang district, and Tangerang city administrations have received fiscal incentives from the central government, as they are considered to be one of the regions that perform well in speeding up the extreme poverty reduction program in 2024.
"This is our collective work. We will continue to eliminate extreme poverty in Banten Province," Muktabar remarked.
On a separate occasion, VP Amin, on Wednesday (September 18), drew attention to other vital aspects, such as convergence and synergy, in speeding up efforts to eliminate extreme poverty.
He explained that convergence and synergy are needed to ensure that extremely poor families benefit from all existing programs, such as social protection, economic empowerment, and settlement infrastructure improvement programs.
