"Alignment with this global effort will strengthen our national strategy while contributing to international goals," he remarked during the opening of the National Development Planning Ministry and UN High-Level Forum on Development Cooperation 2024 here on Wednesday (Sept 18).
According to a statement from the UN Information Center on Thursday, Monoarfa remarked that the new government under President-elect Prabowo Subianto would accord priority to the health, education, and nutrition sectors.
“We recognize that human resource development is at the heart of our strategy for a prosperous future, and we will further enhance these sectors through specific interventions,” Monoarfa stated.
He echoed the government's keenness to enhance initiatives that strengthen food security, improve school health programs, and expand access to quality education across Indonesia.
Over the next five years, Indonesia will also implement three pillars of transformation outlined in the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN): social transformation, economic transformation, and governance transformation.
He explained that social transformation focused on equalizing access to education and health services, eradicating poverty, and improving social protection mechanisms.
Meanwhile, he noted that economic transformation focused on advancing sustainable economic growth through innovation, digitalization, green economy initiatives, and increasing productivity.
As for governance transformation, it focused on fostering integrity, adaptability, and a strong regulatory framework to improve the effectiveness of public services and governance.
“We count on our UN partners to continue to support Indonesia’s priorities, particularly in promoting sustainable and inclusive growth,” Monoarfa said.
