“With WSBP's NKB achievement in the third quarter, we are optimistic that we can achieve the year- end target. This positive performance reflects the right strategy in capturing market opportunities and providing the best solutions for customers,” said Fandy Dewanto, Corporate Secretary of WSBP.
The increase in NKB was achieved through sales of WSBP's three main business lines that performed well, namely Readymix Products, Precast, and Construction Services. The Readymix business line contributed the largest NKB with Rp674.91 billion, followed by Precast Concrete with Rp624.93 billion, and Construction Services with Rp432.28 billion.
The NKB achievement, which has met 75% of the annual target, was supported by various supply projects and construction works carried out by WSBP. There are at least 5 best projects that WBSP has worked on this year, starting from the Construction of Container Yard (CY) and Supporting Infrastructure (TPK) Batu Ampar Batam, Readymix supply on the Ciawi Sukabumi Toll Road Construction Project Section 3B and supply of Precast PC-I Girder products on the Ciawi Sukabumi Toll Road Construction Project Section 3, Construction Work of Enim Bridge Retaining Walls 1 & 2, and Readymix supply on the Jakarta LRT Project Phase 1B (Velodrome-Manggarai).
“We continue to innovate in every line of our business, both in the Precast, Readymix, and Construction Services sectors, to ensure the best quality for our customers and partners,” added Fandy.
In this period, the composition of projects obtained by the majority came from external customers (Government, BUMN / BUMD and other Private Companies) amounting to Rp1.12 trillion or 64.14% and complemented by internal acquisition (PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk) of Rp621.07 billion or
35.86%.
Seeing the potential for optimizing the company's assets, WSBP developed a new business strategy through the rental of construction equipment. WSBP utilizes its equipment assets through the equipment rental business such as truck mixers, batching plants, wheel loaders, generators, and excavators including idle equipment, to increase the company's productivity and revenue. As of September 30, 2024, WSBP managed to achieve NKB of Rp13.65 billion from the equipment rental business.
In addition to the impressive NKB achievement, WSBP also successfully implemented restructuring. This can be seen from the payment of obligations to creditors through the CFADS scheme which has reached stage four with a total of Rp320.85 billion and will continue on time according to the agreed schedule. Currently, more than 90% of the restructuring scheme is running smoothly.
“This success is inseparable from our commitment in maintaining operational efficiency, good risk management, and implementation of Good Corporate Governance. We will continue to increase collaboration with partners to achieve the targets set and contribute to national infrastructure development,” said Fandy.
With this significant achievement, WSBP is optimistic that it can achieve its annual NKB target by the end of 2024 and continues to focus on strengthening its core business as well as innovation in products and services to support sustainable growth.
