Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has prepared a number of strategies to support President-elect Prabowo Subianto's Quick Win programs.

In a statement released here on Thursday, deputy for development policy at the BRIN, Mego Pinandito, informed that the strategies can be used by the government as a reference in planning for development acceleration programs.

He said that since 2021, the agency has submitted various policy recommendation texts through the Research and Innovation Communication Forum (FKRI) that involves ministries/agencies.

"FKRI has been carried out so far to gather and communicate with partners, especially with the relevant ministries," he added.

He said that holding the FKRI is one of the requirements to propose the working plan of the ministries and government agencies, or the 2024 Budget Implementation List.

Pinandito informed that the efforts carried out by BRIN have received good scores from the relevant monitoring teams, including the Supreme Audit Board (BPK).

He explained that FKRI implementation for 2025 cannot be carried out conventionally due to the government Cabinet transition period.

"Firstly, we have to limit the process by filtering this year's challenges and looking at the previous problems that have not been solved. We also (need to) examine and explore the President-elect's programs that will be implemented," he said.

Pinandito emphasized that his side will also focus on the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

As part of the G20, Indonesia needs to pay attention to its strategic role in international forums, he said.

In addition, BRIN must be involved in the preparation of policy recommendation texts so that the policies issued are based on research evidence, he added.

That way, the implementation of government policies can be made sustainable.
