"This is one of the best transition periods in the history of Indonesia, both in terms of smoothness and quality of cooperation among institutions," Setiadi noted in his ministry's statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.
Speaking after meeting with President Jokowi at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Friday (October 18), Setiadi remarked that the ongoing state leadership transition had entailed restructuring several ministries and government agencies to improve governance.
"We are proud of being part of this grand journey. (I am) confident that the incoming administration will sustain the solid foundations we have laid down," he affirmed.
The minister then spoke of having gifted President Jokowi with five books and a collection of pictures to honor the seventh head of state.
"These serve as our form of respect to Mr. President. We handed over five books and photos that capture the memories he (the president) made over the last decade," he remarked.
Furthermore, Setiadi assured the public that all telecommunication infrastructures and facilities needed to support the presidential inauguration on October 20 have been well-prepared.
"All preparations have been done. No issues will disrupt the holding of the inauguration," he concluded.
According to the plan, President Jokowi will bear witness to Prabowo and Gibran taking their oath of office at the Nusantara Building, Parliamentary Complex, Central Jakarta.
The president will then return to his palace to hold a leadership handover ceremony with his successor before heading back to his hometown of Solo in Central Java.
