This was confirmed by acting secretary general of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Siti Fauziah, here on Friday.
According to her, the preparations for the inauguration of Prabowo and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, which will take place at the Nusantara Building, Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, are 80 percent complete.
On Friday, the MPR carried out a rehearsal to make adjustments, including in preparations to welcome state guests.
"Tomorrow, October 19, at 10 a.m., we will hold the final rehearsal," Fauziah informed.
Sunday's event will start at 10 a.m. with attendees singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya.
The event will be opened by MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani. Afterwards, chair of the General Elections Commission (KPU), Mochammad Afifuddin, will read the KPU Decision on the election results.
The event will continue with the taking of the oath of office by the new President and the Vice President.
The MPR chairperson will read the minutes. This will be followed by the inaugural speech of the new President.
"After that, it will be continued with the reading of prayers. After the reading of prayers, the procession will conclude, meaning it will be closed with Indonesia Raya," she said.
After the MPR's plenary session closes, she informed, the President will express his thanks to the invited heads of state, his predecessors, and other officials.
"The preparations have been carried out since a long time ago. What is left is the implementation," Fauziah said.
Prabowo and Gibran won the 2024 Presidential Election with 96,214,691 votes, or 58.59 percent of the valid votes polled.
