Jakarta (ANTARA) - Assistance from Indonesia in the form of mobile clinic services for Palestinian refugees at Al Sukhneh Camp, Al Zarqa, Jordan, provided through the Indonesian National Alms Agency (Baznas), began operating.

Baznas Head Noor Achmad noted in a statement here on Saturday that the mobile clinic assistance is an initiative to provide accessible health services to Palestinian refugees lacking access to adequate services.

"The mobile clinic is part of the humanitarian missions of Baznas that do not only focus on Indonesia but also pay attention to conditions of Muslims and the international communities," he remarked.

According to Achmad, the mobile clinic services offer basic health facilities and have medical personnel on standby to serve Palestinian refugees in need.

"We hope that through this small step, we can provide big benefits, especially to the Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Jordan, as well as the local residents who need health assistance," he remarked.

Achmad expressed gratitude to the government and humanitarian institutions in Jordan for their full support, as well as all Baznas partners that have supported the program.

He further affirmed that the sound synergy between agencies, government, and the community is key to the success of every social and humanitarian initiative.

"This mobile clinic is not only a symbol of health assistance but also a representation of the spirit of mutual cooperation and our shared concern to continue to maintain the people's health and welfare, especially in areas affected by humanitarian crises," he remarked.
