"I had the opportunity to convey materials themed 'Corruption Eradication Strategies and Fostering Anti-Corruption Culture to Actualize the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision,'" he said in a post uploaded on his social media account, which was accessed from Jakarta.
He expressed the hope that the presentation delivered to ministers, deputy ministers, and government agency leaders would help build synergy among officials on corruption eradication.
"Synergy and collaboration among all components of the nation are key to eliminating corrupt practices that put the nation's future in danger," he said.
He also affirmed that Polri is committed to assisting the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka in bringing progress to Indonesia.
"Polri is committed to continuously overseeing and implementing the policy direction set by the government to boost economic growth with the goal of achieving national development targets," he said.
In addition to the Polri chief, President Prabowo and Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin also made presentations and issued directives during the retreat.
Deputy Minister of Manpower, Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan, quoted the President as saying that Cabinet members who are self-centered and reluctant to genuinely apply anti-corruption behavior should resign.
Earlier at the inaugural Cabinet meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday, the head of state expressed the hope that the Cabinet retreat would help instill courage and heroism in Cabinet members since Magelang stood as a center of resistance against colonial forces.
Cabinet ministers and other participating officials arrived at the academy on Thursday (October 24, 2024) and will conclude the series of activities of the retreat on Sunday (October 27).
