North Penajam Paser, East Kali (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) announced that the public is welcome to visit Indonesia's future capital city, currently under development in East Kalimantan, with no entry fees.

"People can visit Nusantara Capital City (IKN) for free without involvement from any third parties," OIKN spokesperson Troy Pantouw stated in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, on Friday.

He made this statement in response to reports about some groups offering paid tour packages to visit the city’s government center.

Pantouw urged these parties to cease their operations, emphasizing that Nusantara—envisioned as an inclusive, global city—belongs to all Indonesians.

Meanwhile, OIKN Deputy for Social Affairs, Culture, and People’s Empowerment, Alimudin, disclosed that these parties were promoting paid tour packages without government permits.

"We have seen flyers promoting paid tour packages to IKN circulating publicly," he noted.

Alimudin said that Nusantara should remain free of unauthorized business activities, as visiting the future government seat should be a source of pride and a memorable experience, especially for young Indonesians.

He also reminded visitors of the importance of following government guidelines when visiting Nusantara.

"To ensure a comfortable, safe, and fulfilling visit, all visitors must follow the established guidelines," he stated.
