"The service unit will serve three thousand people, ranging from pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, toddlers, and students, including Islamic boarding school students and other religious schools," Hindayana remarked on Saturday.
However, he had yet to confirm further details on other service units in Indonesia.
The free nutritious meal program is one of the priority programs in President Prabowo Subianto's administration.
The program aims to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources by disbursing free nutritious meals to targeted beneficiaries through 30 thousand service units.
According to Hindayana, the service unit is tasked with handling the cooking of food and managing local agricultural products.
Each service unit will also have a manager who regulates the purchase and processing of food.
Employees involved in the service unit are prioritized from the local community with the involvement of local farmers to supply food ingredients as well.
