"God willing, we will work faster," stated Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto following the conclusion of the four-day retreat on Sunday.
Hartarto mentioned that the retreat left a deep impression on him personally, viewing the agenda as successful in its goal to strengthen unity and cooperation among cabinet ministers.
He noted that President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka instructed their ministers to complete short—and mid-term government programs.
The coordinating minister also spoke of organizing coordination meetings with ministries under his authority to deliberate government programs during the retreat.
In line with Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for People's Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar reiterated his determination to work faster to carry out government agendas.
"We will exert our effort to work for the people as swiftly as possible," Iskandar emphasized.
He also viewed the cabinet retreat as an appropriate start for the new cabinet to bolster unity and solidarity in facing common challenges and setting up government programs under Prabowo's presidency.
In the first week since their induction, ministers, deputy ministers, and heads of government agencies and institutions in the Red and White Cabinet attended the cabinet retreat at the Military Academy from October 24-27, 2024.
The retreat's agenda included President Prabowo's briefings, meetings, team-building, and physical activities.
During his briefings, the president reiterated zero tolerance for corruption and emphasized loyalty to values.
