Thus, BNPT Head, Commissioner General of Police Eddy Hartono, stated that the agency demonstrates this support through safeguarding the Pancasila (Five Principles) ideology against the influence of violent ideologies that might threaten national cohesion.
"The president's direction is that the state must be strong. How we maintain its unity and diversity, despite our differences while pursuing common goals," Hartono noted in an official statement from BNPT in Jakarta, Thursday.
He emphasized Pancasila's position as Indonesia's foundational ideology, which must be maintained and shielded from violent ideological influences.
Hartono assessed that ideologies promoting intolerance and violence continue to evolve and adopt various new strategies for radicalization through both offline and online means.
Hence, to combat such challenges, the BNPT collaborates with related ministries and institutions, academics, and community elements.
"Collaboration between stakeholders is crucial," he stressed.

Echoing BNPT's stance, a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) Hamid Noor Yasin stated that all elements of the nation must work together to create a sense of security, as directed by the president of Indonesia.
"Prabowo in his direction emphasized that we must all fight to serve the people and work together to create a sense of security in society," Yasin emphasized.
Consequently, he urged nationwide participation in a thoughtful approach to counter-terrorism efforts.
In his introduction to the first plenary cabinet session at the Presidential Office in Jakarta, Wednesday (Oct 23), Prabowo said that the key to the success of a nation's revival is when all elites can work together and unite.
Prabowo defined unity as when all elites could agree on the national interests that are core and vital for the survival of the nation.
He emphasized that while different political and group interests naturally exist, core national concerns must supersede partisan considerations.
"Independence and integrity of Indonesia is a must and to guarantee the integrity and survival of Indonesia, we must be reliable, smart, clever, and be able to maintain and manage the wealth of our nation," Prabowo stated.
