Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto seeks meetings with leaders from coalition political parties on a weekly basis.

This initiative was revealed by several political party leaders following their attendance in keeping with the president's invitation at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Friday.

"He (president) has suggested holding regular meetings of all the general chairmen of the supporting coalition parties," National Democratic Party chair Surya Paloh stated after attending the meeting.

On that occasion, Paloh said that the meeting's participants unanimously supported maintaining robust communication channels between the leaders of the coalition supporting parties and the government.

On the other hand, he noted that the party general chairs presented some policies requiring further review before potentially being adopted as one of the government's policies.

Meanwhile, the secretary general of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, remarked that Prabowo, concurrently the Gerindra Party chair, expressed hope that the meetings would be held every Friday.

"Of course, it (would be) adjusted to his (president) agendas," Muzani remarked.

According to Muzani, the president and party leaders discussed matters related to the state, nation, and society.
