Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Wonderful Indonesia campaign under the Tourism Ministry in collaboration with motorcycle giant, Royal Enfield, had invited foreign riders to the Bali-Mandalika tour titled "Royal Enfield Wonderful Indonesia Ride."

"We are committed to promoting the beauty of Indonesia along with its tourist destinations for both domestic and international tourism," Director of Tourism Marketing Communications of the Ministry of Tourism - Wonderful Indonesia Titus Haridjati noted in a statement on Tuesday.

The activity was held from October 31 to November 4, 2024, involving 11 Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) from five countries: Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and India.

Haridjati remarked that riders joined the five-day four-night trip aboard the Royal Enfield motorcycle from Bali to Mandalika, Lombok, while enjoying the scenery.

According to the director, this collaboration is expected to empower riders to promote Indonesia and provide opportunities to discover and share stories about the country's diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

During the 500-kilometer trip, riders experienced firsthand the local cuisines and learned about the rich cultural heritage, such as the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Amphitheater in Bali and Sababay Winery, and explored beaches with clear waters in the Gili Islands.

Haridjati elaborated that the journey then continued with visiting historical sites in Sasak Sade Village, enjoying mountainous views, exploring various seafood varieties in Lombok, and soaking in stunning 360-degree views from Mandalika Hill, as well as pumping up adrenaline levels at the Mandalika MotoGP Circuit.

"We appreciate the collaboration with Royal Enfield and all the riders' participation. We hope the beauty of our nation can be recognized on the global stage," he remarked.

Bali and Lombok were selected as the touring destinations since Bali Island and Lombok Island are ranked first and 10th respectively among the best islands in Asia according to Condé Nast Traveler.

"In this activity, Royal Enfield prioritizes the culture of leisure riding and creating the best combination of man, machine, and terrain. We hope this activity can attract travelers to experience the beauty of Indonesia through riding," Business Head for Asia-Pacific Markets of Royal Enfield, Anuj Dua, remarked.
