Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto is still waiting for the official results of the US Presidential Election but he has been scheduled to make his first official visit to the US on November 11–12, 2024, during which he will meet outgoing President Joe Biden, a spokesperson said.

"The President is certainly still waiting for the results of the US Presidential Election, but the visit to the United States was indeed scheduled to meet with the current President (Biden) first," Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi told reporters here Wednesday.

So far, Prabowo has no plans to meet the winner of the US election, who is most likely to be Donald Trump. However, Nasbi said that there is a possibility of such a meeting.

"We will see the developments there. It is possible (for Prabowo) to meet with the winner of the presidential election," he added.

Trump is projected to win the 2024 Presidential Election to become the 47th US President based on Fox News data, monitored as of November 6 afternoon Jakarta time.

The Republican candidate is predicted to have won 277 electoral votes, passing the threshold of 270 electoral votes needed to win the US Presidential Election, while his Democratic rival and incumbent Vice President, Kamala Harris, has won 226 votes.

Meanwhile, according to the Associated Press (AP) quick count data, Trump has won 51 percent of the vote, beating Harris who got 47.5 percent of the vote.
