"The total number of reports received as of the fourth day (since launch) is 296 reports," Prita Laura, an official at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) at the Vice President's Secretariat Building, stated here on Thursday.
Laura said the community reports covered various issues, ranging from education and health to land disputes.
The public complaint channel is a joint program by the government, she said, adding that the program is mandatory for all ministries, agencies, and local governments to use it as a channel to receive complaints from the public.
"(The complaints) will later be processed and then followed up as well as become inputs for the government," Laura remarked.
She affirmed that the implementation of the "Lapor Mas Wapres" program will be improved to ensure its effectiveness.
Earlier, Deputy for Administration of the Vice Presidential Secretariat (Setwapres) Sapto Harjono stated that the "Lapor Mas Wapres" public complaint channel was established to make it easier for the public to submit complaints and aspirations to the government.
In the process, the Setwapres team will collect all complaints that were received and then coordinate with the related ministries and agencies, as well as with the local governments to follow up on the cases.
People who have received an ID number for their report can review the progress of the complaint through a WhatsApp contact at 081117042207 or the website setwapreslapor.go.id.
