Maharani expressed her expectations after casting her vote at Polling Station 024, Kebagusan IV Dalam Street, Kebagusan, Pasar Minggu Sub-district, South Jakarta, on Wednesday morning.
"God willing, all of today's local polls will run well and smoothly as per expectation," she told the media.
The lawmaker also remarked that she prefers to monitor the holding of the simultaneous elections at the residence of her mother and the fifth president of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, in the Kebagusan area.
Earlier, Maharani arrived at the polling station alongside her brother, Muhammad Prananda Prabowo, and the former president at 11:14 a.m. local time.
Thereafter, they proceeded to registration desks to receive ballot papers and wait for their names to be mentioned by the organizers.
The simultaneous elections took place in 37 provinces, 415 districts, and 93 cities, with a total of 1,557 candidate pairs vying for top positions in regional governments.
Elected governors and deputy governors will be sworn in on February 7, 2025, while mayors, vice mayors, and district leaders will be inaugurated on February 10, 2025.
