Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Elections Commission (KPU) of Jakarta declared the candidate pair Pramono Anung and Rano the victors of the 2024 Gubernatorial Election of Jakarta with a total of 2,183,239 votes.

"I hereby declare that the minutes of certification of vote recapitulation from each district and city in the election of governor and deputy governor of Jakarta are valid," Jakarta KPU Chairman Wahyu Dinata remarked here on Sunday.

Pramono and Rano, with serial number 3, bested pair number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), who acquired 1,718,160 votes, and pair number 2 Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, who obtained only 459,230 votes.

The declared victors managed to win the most votes in all six regions that constitute Jakarta.

In the Seribu Islands District, the Pramono-Rano duo secured 7,456 votes, while RIDO and Dharma-Kun claimed 6,578 and 653 votes, respectively.

Pair number 3 won 500,738 votes in West Jakarta, prevailing over pair number 1 with 386,880 votes and pair number 2 with 109,457 votes.

Pramono and Rano also recorded a similar feat in South Jakarta, clinching 491,017 votes, while RIDO and Dharma-Kun trailed behind with 535,613 and 136,935 votes each.

Moreover, the pair dominated the gubernatorial race in East Jakarta with a total of 635,170 votes, followed by RIDO with 535,613 votes and Dharma-Kun with 136,935 votes.

In North Jakarta, 328,486 residents cast their votes for Pramono-Rano, 261,463 voters preferred RIDO, and 77,026 others voted for Dharma-Kun.

Meanwhile, in Central Jakarta, pair number 3 won the hearts of 220,372 voters, whereas pairs number 1 and number 2 secured 152,235 and 44,865 votes, respectively.

Jakarta KPU's Dinata remarked that the results of the regional head election would be published on the official website of his office.
