"However, it will always consider the readiness of local governments," PANRB Minister Rini Widyantini said here on Thursday.
She informed that to achieve the target, her ministry is focusing on encouraging local governments to integrate their services so that people do not have to go to many places to obtain public services.
Regions that do not have an MPP yet can first integrate public services through the One-Stop Integrated Service Office (PTSP), she added.
"Later, when they are ready, we will help guide them on how to build a public service mall," she said.
Local governments must ensure the readiness of business processes, services related to the central government, and those related to the private sector at the PTSP, she added.
Widyantini said that the ministry needs provincial governments to play a role in encouraging district/city governments to build MPPs in their regions.
"We encourage every province and governor to give motivation and assistance to districts/cities (to build MPPs)," she added.
Based on data from the PANRB Ministry, 272 MPPs have been built between 2017 and December 12, 2024.
Currently, as many as 236 districts/cities, and 5 provinces, namely Maluku, Southwest Papua, Highland Papua, South Papua, and Central Papua, do not have MPPs.
Regional MPPs are expected to help increase investment to support the acceleration of economic development and growth.
Furthermore, Widyantini said that her ministry is also encouraging public service digitalization.
"We do not want the communities to have difficulties (in accessing public service). Hence, we are now more directed to digital public service malls," she explained.
