Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas expressed keenness that public service malls (MPPs) should exist in all regions in Bali.

"I hope that under the leadership of the Bali acting governor, all regions in Bali can have MPP, so that public services can improve," Anas stated at the inauguration of a public service mall in Klungkung District here on Tuesday.

Anas also praised the existence of MPPs in four districts and cities on the island.

He emphasized that the implementation and services in MPPs should be comprehensive in order to make it easier for people to access digital public services without the need to fill in personal data repeatedly.

He explained that MPPs also have a purpose to grow a sense of pride in public servants in serving the nation and community.

According to Anas, the physical structure of the MPP is one aspect, but how the MPP can make public services integrated, fast, cheaper, easier, more transparent, and efficient is of utmost importance.

Meanwhile, Bali Acting Governor Sang Made Mahendra Jaya remarked that the MPP is essential in improving services for the community, and it has a double positive effect on various aspects, such as health, education, and community welfare.

"The existence of MPP is able to increase investment to support the acceleration of development and economic growth," he stated.

He pointed out that so far, Bali only had four MPPs, namely in Denpasar City, Badung District, Karangasem District, and Klungkung District.

He stated that the provincial government supports the construction of MPPs in regions by disbursing Special Financial Assistance (BKK).

"In this case, Gianyar and Badung districts are building (MPPs) with their own regional budget because they are already capable and have strong finances," he remarked.
