"The spirit of mutual cooperation in JKN implementation must not cease. Don't let the spirit fade and become a burden instead," he said here on Friday.
The JKN, which has been running for more than ten years, has revolutionized the health service system in Indonesia, he added.
According to Iskandar, the program is an important part of the social protection ecosystem in the country.
"JKN is a form of state presence in fulfilling the mandate of the Constitution," he said.
The minister then asked the central and local governments to remain committed to meeting universal health coverage, in keeping with the national long-term development plan (RPJN) target.
One of the government's RPJN commitments is to improve the quality of services in the JKN program.
"The (JKN) fund management system must be more transparent, accountable, and sustainable, and based on technology," he expounded.
Improving JKN services to the community will have an impact on the productivity of the local economy, he explained.
Service quality improvement can also pertain to the service standard, treatment room, and medical personnel quality.
"Service innovations provided to the community must be of high quality and full of high commitment," he said.
Earlier, JKN organizing agency BPJS Kesehatan awarded a number of JKN stakeholders, who showed commitment to eradicating all forms of fraud and gratuities in the JKN program in 2024.
"We have always upheld integrity, transparency, and professionalism in managing the JKN program," BPJS Kesehatan president director Ali Ghufron Mukti said on December 9, 2024.
