"Food, energy, and water security are the main agendas of President Prabowo Subianto's administration. If we can integrate those three with the SDGs, we will not only reduce carbon emissions but also carbon footprints while realizing self-sufficiency," Pambudy told British Ambassador to Indonesia, Dominic Jermey, as quoted from a statement on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed strengthening strategic cooperation between Indonesia and the UK, especially for sustainable development, to improve the quality of life of the community.
According to Pambudy, one of the main agendas discussed at the meeting was developing green infrastructure and intensifying cooperation in the green energy and transportation sectors.

He echoed the Indonesian government's openness to exploring cooperation in several sectors related to sustainable development.
“We are very open to exploring cooperation in the transportation and green energy sectors, as well as implementing innovative financing based on the UK’s expertise for implementing the sustainable development agenda,” the minister remarked.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Jermey also welcomed this cooperation and highlighted the longstanding partnership with Indonesia and its importance in supporting the country's development.
Sustainability is considered an important objective in various joint projects of the Ministry of PPN, including through the 2024 Green Book, which identifies strategic projects to be funded by UK Export Finance (UKEF).
“Indonesia’s contribution to achieving the SDGs, especially through the Low Carbon Development Initiative promoted by the PPN Ministry, has been pioneering the principle of low-carbon growth. This is an important lesson for other countries,” the ambassador remarked.
