Jakarta (ANTARA) - The ANTARA News Agency's news portal, antaranews.com, was conferred the 2025 Adam Malik Award for the Best Online Media by the Foreign Ministry on Friday.

Foreign Minister Sugiono presented the award to ANTARA's Editor-in-Chief Irfan Junaidi during the Foreign Minister's Annual Press Address (PPTM) here.

ANTARA journalist Nabil Ihsan also received a nomination for the Best Online Media Journalist.

The Adam Malik Awards are given out in six categories: Best Print Media, Best Radio, Best Online Media, Best Television, Best Print Media Journalist, and Best Online Media Journalist.

Kompas Daily won in the Best Print Media category, Elshinta won the Best Radio distinction, and Metro TV took the award in the Best Television category.

Meanwhile, Yvette Tanamal of The Jakarta Post was adjudged the Best Print Media Journalist and Sonya Michaella of IDN Times the Best Online Media Journalist.

The Foreign Ministry also presented the Best Local Media award to West Java's Pikiran Rakyat Daily.

Adam Malik Awards, which have been presented since 2002, are given out by the Foreign Ministry to national media and journalists who have contributed positively to communicating Indonesia's diplomacy and foreign policies to the general public.

The ANTARA News Agency has been a frequent winner of the Adam Malik Award. Before this year, the news agency won in the Best Online Media category in 2019 and 2020.

Meanwhile, ANTARA journalists Aditya Eko Sigit Wicaksono and Yashinta Difa won in the Best Online Media Journalist category in 2017 and 2023, respectively.
