On Monday, Hafid visited the president at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, to report on various digital transformation programs run by her side, including the digitalization of government systems (e-government).
"We also discussed efforts to protect our children in the digital realm. We will see it later," she remarked after meeting the president.
Hafid then highlighted the possibility of drafting government regulations while reviewing stronger regulations to protect children in the digital space.
"We will study it first, but in principle, while bridging more stable regulations, we will issue government regulations first," she remarked.
In addition, she stated that the government would also involve the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to jointly determine the formulation of regulations.
"We issue the regulations while discussing with the DPR regarding the law that we can issue to protect our children," she noted.

Hafid affirmed that this issue received full support from the president.

Regarding the digitalization programs of the government system, Hafid explained that the digitalization of public services is one of the president's directives to increase transparency and efficiency in service delivery to the public.
The minister stated that digitalization is one of the important pillars in bureaucratic reform and modernization of public services.
Hafid remarked that one of the programs carried out by her office is supporting the acceleration of digital transformation in government agencies.
