Acting secretary of the ministry's Directorate General of Regional Financial Development, Hendriwan, said that these efforts are expected to boost regional revenues.
"With the implementation of ETPD, people, as taxpayers and levy payers, can make payments that are faster, easier, cheaper, safer, and more reliable," he explained in a statement issued in Jakarta on Monday.
He emphasized that optimizing the use of the ETPD application is one of the government's strategies to achieve financial inclusion. In particular, it will support access to various financial services.
According to him, so far, ETPD implementation development at the regional government level, especially account ownership, participation, and data input, has reached 100 percent.
He further said that 34 regional governments have experienced a decline in the electronification of regional revenue and expenditure. However, the status of 15 regional governments has improved from advanced to digital.
"In total, 90.7 percent of 546 regional governments can be categorized as digital, surpassing the target of 85 percent," he added.
In this regard, he emphasized that the Ministry of Home Affairs is consistent and committed to optimizing the implementation of the ETPD.
Its efforts have included integrating the regional government information system (SIPD) with the payment system at the Regional General Treasury Account (RKUD) banks.
"Another effort is encouraging the integration of the regional tax and regional levy management system within the regional governments with the payment system at the RKUD banks," he said.
