"For the second development phase in the 2025-2029 period, we need Rp48.8 trillion budget from the state budget to complete the legislative and judiciary complexes, its supporting ecosystem, and to commence the second phase of Nusantara City," Hadimuljono stated here on Saturday.
President Prabowo Subianto has directed his side and the public works ministry to review the grand design for the legislative and judiciary office complexes in the new capital, which he believes require modifications, he remarked.
Moreover, the president aims for Nusantara City to serve as the nation's political capital by 2028.
While receiving the visit of the Indonesian parliament delegate at the new capital on Friday (Jan 24), Hadimuljono remarked that OIKN and the public works ministry would form a joint team to review the grand design.
Citing the president's instruction, the OIKN chief affirmed that the Rp48.8 trillion budget would be allocated to complete the legislative and judiciary complexes, as well as its ecosystem infrastructure, including accommodation for its staff.
The authority head added that the budget will also be dispensed for the maintenance and management of completed facilities in the new capital.
Hadimuljono further revealed that his side is engaging with private parties for public-private partnership projects worth Rp60.93 trillion (around US$3.77 billion) for the new capital development, which will include 97 apartment towers, 129 landed houses, and a solar power plant.
"The investment will also fund six public-private partnership projects for the 138.6-kilometre road and multi-utility tunnel development at the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), which is now partly complete," he remarked.
