While delivering a joint statement with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prabowo said that he is waiting for a schedule from the Indian government for the delegation's visit.
"We recently ratified the defense cooperation agreement, and we will send a high-level delegation in the field of defense as soon as possible, according to the schedule set by the Indian government," he informed at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, India, on Saturday.
According to him, cooperation between Indonesia and India has continued to grow in various sectors.
During his meeting with PM Modi at Hyderabad House, Prabowo emphasized Indonesia's commitment to stepping up cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, health, energy, digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and information technology (IT).
"I am also happy to report that our discussions with many leaders from the Indian industrial sector are going well, and we have talked in detail about how India can become more involved in the Indonesian economy," he said.
He also invited Indian investors to participate in infrastructure development projects in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, PM Modi highlighted that defense cooperation was a key topic at the bilateral meeting.
"To enhance cooperation in the defense sector, we have decided to collaborate in defense manufacturing and supply chains," he informed.
He added that Indonesia and India have agreed to strengthen cooperation in maritime security, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, and de-radicalization efforts.
"The agreements made today regarding maritime security and safety will further strengthen our collaboration in crime prevention, search and rescue operations, and institutional capacity-building," PM Modi said.
