Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of the Technology Platform Service Center (BLPT) at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Wibowo Mukti emphasized that equal access to the internet is crucial for achieving digital transformation in the education sector.

Speaking here on Monday, Mukti noted that digital transformation in education relies on the support of various factors, such as infrastructure.

"Infrastructure is the main foundation. There must be electricity to power the devices, and it is also crucial to have devices such as computers, laptops, and gadgets," he remarked.

Mukti emphasized that infrastructure encompasses not only hardware but also software, including essential tools such as digital platforms, applications, and content.

According to the BLPT head, high-quality digital content in various formats, including audio and video, is a vital support for learning.

"Interactive and multimedia content will enhance the effectiveness of learning," he affirmed.

In addition to infrastructure, Mukti highlighted the importance of human resources in driving digital transformation.

Human resources must effectively leverage technology, which is why his side continues to improve the competence of human resources through training, education, and mentoring programs.

Mukti acknowledged that Indonesia's diverse regions present unique challenges, prompting BLPT to foster networking and share good practices across regions.

"What works in Samarinda may not work in Papua. We need to adapt and modify the approaches based on the conditions of each region," he elaborated.

Mukti underscored the importance of equal perceptions in achieving digital transformation in education to improve the quality of education, albeit through region-specific methods.

Moreover, to overcome obstacles such as blank spots, limited electricity, and a lack of human resources, BLPT has developed cooperation programs with the Communication Technology Center for Education in various regions.
