According to deputy for protocol, press, and media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, the state visit marks an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Turkiye.
"The state welcoming ceremony by President Prabowo Subianto to President Erdogan will be held at the Bogor Presidential Palace on Wednesday, February 12," he informed in a statement issued on Monday.
After the welcoming ceremony, Prabowo and Erdogan are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting to discuss various forms of possible cooperation.
The cooperation is expected to provide benefits to both countries and strengthen relations.
"It is hoped that this state visit can further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and Turkiye, as well as provide a positive impact on the development of both countries," Permana said.
President Erdogan's state visit will conclude with a luncheon in the courtyard of the Bogor Presidential Palace.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rolliansyah "Roy" Soemirat confirmed the participation of President Erdogan in the first Indonesia-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (SCC) meeting.
"The High-Level SCC is the highest regular bilateral forum between the two countries led directly by the heads of states," he said last week.
The High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Indonesia and Turkiye was first announced at the G20 Summit in Bali in 2022.
So far, Turkiye has entered into high-level forum cooperation with 21 countries, including Indonesia.
