Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono, has assured that mental health screening has been included in the government's recently launched Free Health Check-up (CKG) Program.

Harbuwono explained here on Thursday that based on the evaluation of the Ministry of Health, 34.6 percent of adolescents have experienced a decline in mental health.

"We also evaluate mental health because mental health is no less important than physical health. If this is maintained continuously, we will grow physically and spiritually healthier," he said.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, who underwent free screening on Thursday, asked all community health centers in Indonesia to continue to improve the quality of services for the community.

"For provincial, district, and city governments, please pay serious attention to community health centers," he said.

He also asked community health centers to educate people about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle.

The Indonesian government launched the Free Health Screening on February 10, 2025. The screening will be provided to people on their birthdays to improve the quality of health of the community through the early detection of diseases.

The services have been rolled out on account of data showing that more than 600 thousand Indonesians die from cardiovascular disease every year.

Through the program, the public will receive two types of recommendations. Those who are in good health will be given guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Meanwhile, those detected to have certain diseases will receive appropriate medical services.

People who wish to register for the free screening can do so online via the SATUSEHAT Mobile application or via WhatsApp.
