Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto is invited by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Turkey, scheduled for April 2025.

"I invited President Prabowo to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on April 11-12. He also promised to attend," Erdogan stated during a talk show, as monitored via YouTube here on Friday.

According to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum's official website, the Turkish government launched this annual forum in 2020.

The forum has become a platform for global leaders, policymakers, academics, and business experts to explore diplomacy as a means of navigating toward a better world through collective actions.

The 2025 edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, organized by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under President Erdogan, will center on "Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World."

In its fourth edition, the forum seeks to emphasize diplomacy's role in stabilizing nations amid global conflicts that could threaten unity.

Erdogan remarked that during Prabowo's visit to Turkey, he will first be received in Ankara, the Turkish capital, before proceeding to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in 2025.

The two leaders will then travel together to Antalya to participate in the forum.

"We will meet first in Ankara and then depart together for the Diplomacy Forum in Antalya," Erdogan stated.

Earlier, Erdogan admitted to being particularly touched by the warm welcome from Indonesian citizens and the entire series prepared by President Prabowo in receiving his state visit to Indonesia.

"The enthusiasm of the students and young people who filled the streets and the way they welcomed us was very touching," he said.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Turkey.
