Sidoarjo, East Java (ANTARA) - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin plans to promptly assess the Free Health Check (CKG) program to ensure its effective distribution and execution across various regions, particularly outside Java Island.

"We will check the activation of this program in areas outside Java Island," Sadikin remarked during his visit to the Waru Health Center in Sidoarjo on Friday.

His team will visit multiple health centers and CKG health facilities outside Java to ensure that this year's goal of reaching 100 million participants nationwide is met.

During the visit, the ministry will closely monitor the participant numbers. The aim is to achieve at least 50 percent of the 100 million target for CKG participants.

Sadikin then praised the Sidoarjo District Government for initiating the program for the surrounding community.

The minister remarked that participants in the program had been adopting healthier lifestyles by maintaining a proper diet and diligently exercising to maintain physical fitness.

From his observations in Sidoarjo, he found that most CKG participants are 50 and older.

He admired the participants' ability to register independently using the Satu Sehat application.

"The people of Sidoarjo are able to register for the Satu Sehat application independently. I see that the people here are healthy by maintaining a good diet and diligently exercising," he remarked.

Sadikin revealed that the government plans to gradually roll out this CKG program for all groups, including students, starting in July.

The CKG program targets three specific groups: CKG birthday, wherein beneficiaries are eligible to access free health checks on their birthdays; school CKG; and CKG for pregnant women and toddlers.

The Birthday CKG offers examination services for children up to six and adults aged 18 years and above. These health checks will be conducted at collaborating health centers and clinics.
