The subsidiaries of Pertamina involved in the alleged graft case are several leaders in PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, PT Pertamina International Shipping, and PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional.
“At Pertamina, we will carry out a thorough review to identify improvements we can make moving forward," he stated at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport here on Saturday.
Thohir said his side will coordinate with the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas), the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and so on, related to the review of Pertamina.
"We need to find solutions. As the president has consistently emphasized, ministers must communicate,” he stressed.
Thohir remarked that he and ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia will develop a roadmap to address issues related to Pertamina.
“God willing, both Mr Bahlil and I will be able to find the solutions. We will identify areas for efficiency," he stated.
He hinted at a potential plan to merge two Pertamina subholdings, Kilang and Patra Niaga, to prevent any business exchanges between them.
Thohir said that the ministry he leads will always respect legal processes and cooperate with the Attorney General's Office to combat corruption.
He expressed his commitment to continuing to collaborate with the Attorney General's Office to address corruption cases within the Ministry of SOEs and the state companies it oversees.
Regarding the expected replacement of President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, he stated that discussions on this topic have not advanced, and it will first be discussed with the Board of Commissioners.
