Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia welcomes continued support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in maintaining economic and fiscal stability, Deputy Finance Minister Anggito Abimanyu stated after meeting with IMF Resident Representative for Indonesia Dennis Botman here, March 11.

"We welcome the visit from Dennis Botman, who represents the IMF. We are very open to closer cooperation and technical assistance from experts at the IMF," Anggito noted.

In the meeting, Anggito and Botman discussed various strategic issues, such as global political developments, as well as current fiscal policies and global economic challenges that could impact the national economy.

Botman expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been well established between the IMF and the Indonesian Finance Ministry.

He emphasized that the IMF remained committed to providing technical assistance to the ministry, particularly in supporting the success of the government's priority programs.

"The IMF has provided technical assistance such as studies on medium-term tax strategies, tax policies, and administration. We are committed to continuing to provide technical assistance in crucial sectors according to the government's program priorities," he explained.

The meeting reflects the strong synergy between the Indonesian government and the IMF in strengthening economic and fiscal policies, as well as creating resilience in the face of global economic uncertainty.

With intensive communication and solid cooperation, the IMF is expected to continue to be Indonesia's partner in maintaining the momentum of economic growth.
