A resident, Joko, 40, stated that although he did not meet the president, he was happy to attend the open house. "But I am not disappointed. I am glad to have entered the Palace," Joko, who hailed from West Jakarta, remarked.
As he belongs to the disabled community, he was prioritized to enter the palace for the open house.
Meanwhile, another resident, Inayah, aged 50, admitted feeling slightly disappointed for not meeting Prabowo. "My intention in joining this open house is to meet the president," she noted.
Inayah, who hails from Tanjung Barat in South Jakarta, said she had queued up since morning for an opportunity to meet Prabowo.
Nonetheless, she prayed at this Eid al-Fitr that President Prabowo could deliver changes for Indonesia in the future.
In line with Inayah, a resident of Kebayoran Lama in South Jakarta, Tuni, 36, was also disappointed that she did not meet Prabowo. "It was crowded inside, so I understand," Tuni added.
President Prabowo Subianto hosted an open house at the Presidential Palace Complex for halalbihalal (Eid gathering) to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.
He invited former presidents and vice presidents, state officials, ambassadors, leaders of international institutions, religious figures, and community leaders.
The president also invited national figures, including leaders of political parties, and the general public to attend the agenda.
