This was conveyed by the minister after attending an Eid al-Fitr gathering hosted by the Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said that the Eid al-Fitr homecoming has run well, safely, and smoothly. Therefore, he added that anticipatory measures for the return flow are needed.
"We must anticipate the return flow that is predicted to peak on April 6–7 (2025)," he remarked.
Earlier, Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said that his ministry is ready to follow the direction of President Prabowo Subianto to monitor the 2025 Eid al-Fitr transportation period so that people can travel safely and smoothly.
To support smooth transportation during the Eid holiday period, the government has prepared adequate transportation facilities, including 30,451 buses, 772 ships, 404 aircraft, and 2,550 trains.

It has also carried out checks to ensure all the vehicles are safe and fit to be operated.
The Ministry of Transportation has also pursued coordination with all relevant parties, including the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and regional governments.
"We are optimizing the Transportation Information Center and the Eid al-Fitr transportation post that are operating 24 hours every day to monitor the movements of all transportation modes," Purwagandhi affirmed.
Earlier, the Transportation Ministry projected that a total of 146.48 million Indonesians would participate in the homecoming this year, marking a 24 percent decline from 193.6 million last year.
The Police Traffic Corps reported that the peak of the homecoming occurred on March 28, 2025, three days before Eid al-Fitr. On that day, 258 thousand vehicles were recorded leaving Jakarta.
