"Today, we sent the third phase. The first phase was dispatched on Monday, followed by the second phase on Tuesday with two planes. Today, in the third phase, we are sending two planes, one for passengers and one for cargo," the minister remarked at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base here on Thursday.
He emphasized that the delivery of aid demonstrates Indonesia's solidarity with ASEAN nations and underscores its leadership in disaster mitigation efforts across Southeast Asia.
"I, the Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), the Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the House of Representatives, and representatives from the military and police, will depart for Naypyidaw City, and we are scheduled to arrive this evening. After that, we will fly to Yangon," he stated.
A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Sagaing–Mandalay, Myanmar, on Friday (March 28). The vibrations were felt as far away as India, Bangladesh, Thailand, and China and were followed by 6.4-magnitude aftershocks.

This disaster caused significant damage to infrastructure, resulted in several fatalities, and left thousands of people homeless.
Pratikno explained that the delivery of aid was coordinated across ministries and agencies during a ministerial-level meeting held on Sunday (March 30).
The results of this meeting produced strategic decisions regarding the aid mechanisms, including deploying an Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team, Emergency Medical Team (EMT), and logistical support to assist in emergency response in Myanmar.
