During a video call with Sugianto in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Minister Karding praised his actions, which prioritized humanity above all else.

"Thank you, Sugianto. Your actions can serve as an example for all of us and inspire many people with your heroism in the humanitarian aspect," Karding said, according to a press statement issued by the ministry here on Thursday.

The minister promised that the Indonesian government will present the award to Sugianto's family in Indramayu, West Java.

Additionally, Minister Karding said that his ministry will designate Sugianto as a migrant worker ambassador and assist him in obtaining an F-2 visa, as promised by the South Korean government.

"We will try to help Sugianto obtain an F-2 visa that allows for an extended stay. Furthermore, we will make him a migrant worker ambassador," he said.

In response, Sugianto expressed his gratitude to Minister Karding.

He recounted how he rescued an elderly person from a forest fire in South Korea by carrying him about 150 meters away from the fire's source.

"There were hills. I carried him, and when I got a bit tired, I would stop for a moment and then continue," he said.
