The MoU signing ceremony for the three MoUs took place at the Turkish Presidential Complex in Ankara on Thursday evening (April 10), witnessed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The first MoU established cooperation between the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) and the Interior Ministry's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, with BNPB Chief Suharyanto signing on behalf of Indonesia.
The second MoU, which focused on cooperation in media, public relations, and communication, was signed between the Indonesian Presidential Communication Office (PCO) and the Turkish Presidential Communication Directorate.
This MoU was inked by PCO Head, Hasan Nasbi.
The third MoU addressing cultural cooperation was signed by Indonesia's Minister of Culture Fadli Zon.
The MoU signing agenda was part of President Prabowo's state visit to the Turkish Presidential Complex, which lasted from Thursday afternoon until the evening.
During the visit, President Prabowo and President Erdogan held a bilateral meeting, which was then followed by the signing of the MoUs between the two governments, along with a joint statement.
The Indonesian government's delegation accompanying President Prabowo in Ankara comprised Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, among others.
Indonesian Ambassador to Turkiye, Achmad Rizal Purnama, was also part of the delegation.
President Erdogan was also accompanied by his ministers, including Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
