"For three days, we have shared ideas, insights, and best practices to advance national education," Mu'ti stated at the closing of the 2025 National Consolidation for Primary and Secondary Education in Depok City, West Java, on Wednesday.
The forum addressed key issues such as the 13-year compulsory education policy, equitable access to education, school revitalization, the preservation of regional languages, the sovereignty of the Indonesian language, and the implementation of SPMB.
The discussions resulted in a set of recommendations compiled by heads of education offices from across Indonesia.
Mu'ti expressed his appreciation for these recommendations, which contain essential points aimed at enhancing the quality of national education.
He affirmed that the ministry will soon roll out the SPMB as its first major initiative and expects its implementation to proceed smoothly to ensure quality and equitable education services.
"The SPMB will demonstrate how we provide inclusive, high-quality education so that no Indonesian child is discriminated against by the system," he said.
Mu'ti emphasized that the system being developed must facilitate access to education and not create barriers for students.
"The system we build should not prevent or hinder students from gaining knowledge and learning opportunities," he added.
The ministry organized the national consolidation forum to align perspectives, develop a shared framework, and strengthen collective commitment to addressing national education challenges.
