This was conveyed by the minister during a meeting with Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Monday.
Currently, under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Ministry of State Secretariat, a regulation on the formation of the layoff task force is being prepared.
The Ministry of Manpower is making both preventive and post-layoff efforts.
Specifically in the field of manpower, the ministry is taking preventive measures by creating a layoff risk map.
The ministry will also synchronize monthly manpower data with other ministries and agencies under a new initiative with a team that comprises the Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Finance, Statistics Indonesia (BPS), and Bank Indonesia.
"We are seeking monthly data on manpower," he said.

It will also strengthen coordination with manpower offices at the provincial, district, and city levels, among other things.
As for the post-layoff efforts, the ministry has prepared Government Regulation Number 6 of 2025, which increases the benefits of the job loss security program.
The ministry's training centers are also open to help those affected by layoffs enhance their skills.
The ministry is also continuing to improve job vacancy information, both online and offline, in cooperation with the manpower offices, and provides entrepreneurship services for those affected by layoffs.
According to national layoff data, in 2025, at least 24,036 people lost their jobs, with the highest number recorded in Central Java at 10,692.
