"The investment in Forel and Terubuk was carried out by Medco E&P Natuna Energy with the total investment disbursed reaching almost Rp10 trillion," Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung informed in Jakarta on Friday.
He said that the oil fields are estimated to produce around 20 thousand barrels of oil per day and an additional 60 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas.
He expressed the hope that the additional production would strengthen national energy security, with all facilities in the project involving domestic workers and the project's domestic component level (TKDN) reaching almost 100 percent.
"This additional production will strengthen our energy security. All facilities supporting this investment are carried out by our domestic workers," he added.
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the first oil and gas production from Forel and Terubuk in Natuna waters on Friday.
