Deputy Minister of National Development Planning Febrian Alphyanto Ruddyard noted in a statement here on Wednesday that the event provides a platform to promote Indonesia’s potential, innovation, and progress, as well as to showcase locally made products to a global audience.
“Through cultural performances and educational installations at the Indonesia Pavilion, we aim to demonstrate how natural wealth, cultural traditions, and sustainable innovation can go hand in hand,” Ruddyard stated.
The National Day is a one-day celebration held by each participating country at the Osaka World Expo, symbolizing cultural exchange and international friendship.
Indonesia’s National Day marked a significant milestone, showcasing the nation's cultural diversity and fostering global cooperation through closer ties with Japan and other nations.

The celebration began with an Indonesian parade that started at the Grand Ring of the Indonesia Pavilion and continued to the National Day Hall.
The parade showcased traditional cultural displays in line with the Indonesia Pavilion’s theme: “Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, and Future.”
The parade featured Betawi culture's ondel-ondel, East Java's Reog Ponorogo, and various traditional dances, followed by the official ceremony at the National Day Hall.
The Indonesian delegation was led by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, accompanied by Chairperson of the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) Selvi Gibran Rakabuming.
“We hope that Indonesia’s National Day at the Osaka World Expo will open doors for collaboration between Indonesia and Japan, especially in clean energy, green infrastructure, digital transformation, and tourism,” Ruddyard stated.
