Dressed in white shirts and dark sunglasses, the two leaders took a moment to pose for photos and then walked side by side across the temple courtyard.

While making their way to the temple, President Prabowo took the wheel of a golf buggy, with President Macron seated beside him. The two appeared to engage in a relaxed conversation during the ride.

Soon after, they were joined by First Lady Brigitte and Hediprasetyo, who took their seats at the back of the buggy. Prabowo drove the vehicle to one side of the temple, out of view of the media crew.

According to information gathered on-site, the Indonesian government installed a stair lift at Borobudur Temple at the request of the French government for Macron's official visit.

Prabowo and Macron were scheduled to sign a friendship and cultural cooperation agreement at the summit of Borobudur. Both leaders were also expected to deliver a joint statement about the agreement.

Macron's visit to Borobudur, a world heritage site, was scheduled at his request. He visited Indonesia from May 27 to 29, 20025, as part of this Southeast Asia tour.
