As quoted from the Instragam official social media accounts @presidenrepublikindonesia and @prabowo here on Tuesday, President Prabowo visited the HQ in Pulomas, Jakarta, on Monday (June 2).
During the visit, he spoke with the horse trainers and soldiers, including those who have recently served as the horse-mounted guard of honor welcoming state guests at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
"The president lauded the troops for their dedication in preserving the military cavalry tradition and supporting the development of equestrian sports both nationally and internationally," according to the caption posted on the president’s official social media account.

Several photos shared on the account captured moments of President Prabowo inspecting horses in their stables and gave directives to the personnel there.
The Ronggolawe Horse Cavalry Regiment operates under the Indonesian Army Cavalry Center (TNI AD Pussenkav).
The unit often participates in ceremonial welcoming processions for visiting heads of state and government at the Merdeka Palace, such as for Chinese Premier Li Qiang and, most recently, French President Emmanuel Macron.
Typically, the cavalry unit joins the delegates' vehicles from the National Monument area and escorts them into the front courtyard of the Merdeka Palace.
President Prabowo is also known to enjoy horse riding as a hobby. He owns dozens of horses and several riding arenas, including those at his private residence in Bukit Hambalang, Bogor District, West Java.
