St. Petersburg (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for a bilateral meeting involving their delegations, followed by a state luncheon at the Constantine Palace, Saint Petersburg, on Thursday.

“President Prabowo will pay a visit to President Vladimir Putin. As usual, this state visit will feature several activities, including a bilateral meeting concluded with a luncheon,” Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono remarked.

Speaking to the media at Prabowo's hotel in Saint Petersburg on Wednesday night (June 18), he emphasized that the president’s ongoing visit presents a crucial opportunity to solidify bilateral relations and strengthen Indonesia’s role in global affairs.

Arriving in Saint Petersburg via Pulkovo International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, President Prabowo is set to begin his official agenda the following day by laying a wreath at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery to honor fallen Russian heroes.
