In a press statement, the embassy informed that the coffin was flown back home by Thai Airways on Wednesday at the request of the deceased’s family in Indonesia.
The flight landed at Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 11:55 a.m. local time the same day. Thereafter, officials from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry handed over the coffin to the deceased’s family.
Representatives of the Agency for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BP3MI) in Banten and Surya Utama, a member of the House of Representatives, witnessed the handover.
According to the Indonesian embassy, Cambodian police reported that MF, who was employed by an online gambling operator, died after suffering a heart attack on June 5, 2025.
The embassy staffers prepared for the repatriation of the deceased’s body at the request of his family.
MF’s Cambodian employer bore all repatriation expenses and provided financial compensation to his family, the embassy informed.
