Speaking at a forum hosted by the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw, Poland, Fadli noted that several sub-sectors are fueling this growth, including film, gaming, animation, fashion, traditional textiles (wastra), music, and cultural tourism.
Culture not only helps shape national identity and strengthen diplomatic ties, but also generates economic value, creates jobs, and fosters innovation, he said in an official statement issued here on Thursday.
He underlined that investing in culture is an investment in the future, and invited international partners—particularly from Poland—to explore opportunities in Indonesia’s vibrant cultural and creative economy.

To support collaboration and potential investment, Fadli highlighted various government initiatives, such as the Dana Indonesiana Cultural Endowment Fund, which aims to strengthen cultural ecosystems and facilitate sustainable cultural development.
He also presented avenues for partnership, including cultural infrastructure development, the establishment of creative hubs, and joint production in film and audiovisual content. As part of broader economic reform efforts, the government has also introduced Danantara, a sovereign wealth fund managed professionally to attract foreign investment in key strategic sectors, including culture.
It is time to collaborate with Indonesia to invest in the future—one driven by culture, powered by innovation, and rooted in equitable, sustainable partnerships. Culture for the Future, Fadli emphasized.
The forum also featured flagship projects by the Indonesian Embassy in Poland, including the newly inaugurated Bali Indah Cultural Park in Słupsk.
The Balinese-themed park is envisioned as a model of cultural diplomacy and promotion, offering investment potential across sectors such as cultural tourism, gastronomy, visual and performing arts, and cultural products.
